The Wildervore Approach
January is always a time for the 'New Year, New You' resolutions. This year I have rededicated myself to the project of connection. Connection with the wild, with the land, with people and projects.
The Wildervore Approach is a year of coaching to build the perfect ethical healthy eating plan for YOU. Wouldn’t it be great if you knew how to make food choices that were both healthy and responsible?
All foods have consequences. From the management of the natural habitat to harvesting to processing and transport — all food impacts life and the planet in some way. Vegetarians and vegans may not be directly involved in the killing and eating of animals but this doesn't qualify these diets as the most ecological or health beneficial. If we broaden our gaze from the importance of animal welfare to the function of whole farm ecosystems, vegetarian and vegan choices could in fact harm natural ecosystem processes and deny us important nutrients.
Maybe you want to eat less meat because you think it's better for the environment but end up eating imported processed soy products that are destroying wildlife and disrupting your hormones. Perhaps you've resorted to eating more grains, pulses and meat replacements only to find you've damaged your health by ingesting anti-nutrients, xenoestrogens and are suffering from the symptoms of mineral deficiencies. What's needed to navigate these choices is a system and principle approach to healing our health that teaches us how to consider our options to make holistic decisions. Following a ‘one size fits, all’ quick fix diet plan simply has us swinging from one new fad to the next scientific study.
The Wildervore Approach ties in so beautifully with RegenerEat that I just had to give it a go.
In the absence of the inherited wisdom of generations, join the clan. For the cost of a good monthly multivitamin, Caroline and her team offer the chance to work through a whole year of coaching, ethically eating your way back to health.
